Robotics develops machines that can replace humans and emulate human behavior. Robots can be used in many different situations and for many different purposes, but today many of them are used in hazardous environments (e.g. radiological inspection, bomb detection and deactivation), manufacturing processes, or in places where humans cannot survive (e.g. outer space). , underwater, high altitude, etc.). heat). , and cleaning and containment of hazardous materials and radiation). Robots can be of any shape, but some have a human-like appearance. It is argued that this helps robots to accept certain replicating behaviors that humans normally do. Such robots attempt to mimic walking, lifting, speaking, perceiving, or other human activities. Many of today's robots are inspired by nature, contributing to the field of bio-inspired robotics.

Certain robots require user input to function, while others function autonomously. Although the concept of developing robots that can work autonomously has been around for a long time, research into robot functions and applications has increased significantly since the turn of the 20th century. Throughout history, various scholars, inventors, engineers, and technicians have hypothesized that robots will one day be able to imitate human behavior and perform tasks in a human-like manner. Today, robotics is a rapidly growing field as technology continues to advance. Researching, designing, and building new robots can serve a variety of practical purposes, including domestic, commercial, and military. Many robots are built to perform tasks dangerous to humans, such as defusing bombs, finding survivors in unstable ruins, and exploring mines and shipwrecks. Robotics is also used in his STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) as an educational tool.
